全世界に衝撃を与えたアメリカ同時多発テロ “9・11”。その翌年の2002年9月11日、「UNDEFEATED＝俺たちは絶対に負けない、いかなる脅威にも屈しない」という固い信念のもと、居心地の良い “スニーカーブティック” として、アメリカ ロサンゼルスにアンディフィーテッドをオープン。西海岸に根付く古き良きアメリカンカジュアルを背景に、トレンドからクラシックに至るスニーカーを独自の感性でセレクト。また、国籍や人種・年齢・性別を問わず人々を熱狂させるスポーツカルチャーへの敬意のもと、ミリタリーへの深い造詣をミックスアップしてクリエイトされる、コラボレーションスニーカーやオリジナルアパレルは、話題性の高いプロダクトとして生み出されている。2006年、LA本店の雰囲気をそのままにアンディフィーテッドが日本に上陸を果たし、2007年、LA-TOKYOスタイルの最新形態を体現する「UNDEFEATED TOKYO」が待望のオープン。

Undefeated was launched on September 11th, 2002; one year to the day after the most polarizing terrorist attack in history. Undefeated meaning to be victorious, never beaten or overcome; opened the doors of it’s first sneaker boutique in the West coast city of Los Angeles. Undefeated brings sports culture to the streets with mild military flair through it’s own apparel and hype collaborations with many other notable names in the industry. Undefeated made its way to Japan’s shores in 2007, giving birth to a a new, LA/Tokyo style.

2011年3月24日に４周年を迎え、５年目のスタートを切った「UNDEFEATED TOKYO」は、ホームタウン “東京” に根差した拠り所となるべく、そのコンセプトをより明確にし、5月28日より新たな場所で生まれ変わる。今作は、アンディフィーテッド定番の “MILITIA FONT(ミリティア フォント)” をベースに、チャンピオンスタイルを象徴する “４つ星” を胸に刻んだ。

March 24th, 2011 marks 4 years of being in Japan. To start out our 5th year we are dropping this tee. It’s Undefeated in its purest form rocking the 5 strikes, militia font, and 4 years on the front to commemorate our past years of being “Undefeated” in Tokyo.

今作は「UNDEFEATED(アンディフィーテッド)」のブランドアイコンである “5 STRIKES(5ストライク)” ロゴをベースに、1980年より、ストリートカルチャーの最前線を歩み続けたオリジネイター「STUSSY(ステューシー)」による “Shawn Font(ショーン フォント)” で彩ったオリジナルデザイン。カリフォルニアで発祥し、本拠地をアメリカに構える両ブランドの一大拠点 “TOKYO” を打ち出す一枚は、ブランド創立10周年、東京５周年に向け移転リニューアルを果たした「UNDEFEATED TOKYO」限定。

We came up with tee shirt as an exclusive to Undefeated Tokyo. Using the iconic 5 strikes logo as a base, we mixed it up with the everlasting hand styles of Stussy founder, and corenerstone of the street scene, Shawn Stussy. This is a special release to celebrate Undefeated Tokyo’s 4th anniversary and shop relocation.
